This “micro-documentary” piece was done to celebrate the Chicago based menswear store, Haberdash, opening a new flagship store in Chicago’s South Loop at the Roosevelt Collection. It was played for both media outlets and customers during their Grand Opening party. With direction from Haberdash on what stories they wanted represented, we partnered with the Chicago History Museum and built this short to celebrate the history of Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood. It combines various animation techniques to help bring historic footage to life, along with a healthy does of time lapse footage to convey the passage of time and illustrate how we arrived at our present day.
